This Privacy Policy explains how the Crafters Development Ticket Bot collects, processes, stores, and protects your personal data. We are committed to handling your information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable law.

This Privacy Policy describes how Crafters Development ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the Crafters Development Ticket Bot (the "Bot"), which operates within the official Crafters Development Discord server.

We understand that your privacy matters. This document is intended to give you a full and transparent picture of our data practices — not just a vague legal disclaimer — so that you can make informed decisions about your interaction with our support system.

Plain-language summary: When you open a support ticket, we store your Discord username, user ID, and the content of your ticket. This data is kept only on our private server, is never sold or shared with third parties, and is used solely to manage and improve your support experience.

By using the Ticket Bot, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our data practices described herein, please do not interact with the Bot.

Who We Are

Crafters Development is an independent software development brand specializing in the creation, distribution, and support of Minecraft server plugins and mods. Our products are distributed through platforms including Modrinth, SpigotMC, Bukkit, and BuiltByBit.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Crafters Development acts as the data controller — meaning we are the entity that determines the purpose and manner in which your personal data is processed.

We do not collect: email addresses, passwords, payment information, IP addresses, device identifiers, location data, or any information not explicitly listed in the table above.

How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data strictly for the following defined, explicit, and legitimate purposes. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is described here:

  1. Support ticket management: Your username, user ID, and modal answers are used to create, track, and manage your open support ticket, ensuring that your request is assigned to the correct staff member and resolved efficiently.
  2. Sequential ticket counter: Your ticket number is maintained in the database to keep the ticket numbering system accurate and sequential across all support interactions.
  3. Staff assignment and coordination: The staff username and ID are recorded to track which team member is handling your ticket, enabling accountability and internal coordination.
  4. Quality review and improvement: Rating scores and written comments are forwarded to an internal staff review channel and retained to assess the performance of individual staff members and improve the overall quality of support provided to the community.
  5. Abuse prevention: User IDs may be referenced to identify and prevent abuse of the ticket system, such as repeated bad-faith submissions or harassment of staff.

All data use is strictly limited to purposes that are directly necessary for the operation and continuous improvement of the Crafters Development support system.

Legal Basis for Processing

The collection and processing of your personal data is carried out under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: By voluntarily interacting with the Ticket Bot and submitting your information through the ticket modal, you provide implicit consent to the collection and use of that data for the purposes described in this Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion of your data.
  • Legitimate interests: We process certain data — such as user IDs for abuse detection — on the basis of our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe, functional, and high-quality support environment for the Crafters community, provided these interests do not override your fundamental rights.
  • Contractual necessity: Where you have agreed to our Terms of Service, processing of your ticket data is necessary to fulfill our obligations to you in providing the support service described therein.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us to request deletion of your data. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

Data Storage

All data collected by the Crafters Development Ticket Bot is stored in a local database hosted on the private server infrastructure that runs the Bot. This is a self-hosted environment, meaning no cloud-based third-party database providers (such as MongoDB Atlas, Firebase, or AWS RDS) are used to store your information.

Key details about our data storage infrastructure:

  • Storage type: Local relational database on a privately managed server
  • Access control: Access to the database is restricted exclusively to xUnknowns (the data controller) and authorized members of the Crafters Development staff team on a need-to-know basis
  • Geographic location: The server is operated within the jurisdiction of Chile or a comparable jurisdiction with appropriate data protection standards
  • Backup practices: Routine database backups may be maintained to prevent data loss due to server failures. These backups are subject to the same access restrictions as the primary database
  • No cloud synchronization: Ticket data is not synchronized to or mirrored in any external cloud storage services
§ 07

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, as described in this Policy. We do not retain data indefinitely, and we periodically review stored records to determine whether they continue to serve a legitimate purpose.

Our data retention approach by category:

  • Active ticket data: Retained for the duration of the ticket's open status plus a reasonable period after closure to allow for post-closure review and rating submission
  • Closed ticket records: Retained for an operational and quality review period, after which they may be archived or deleted at the discretion of the data controller
  • Rating data: Retained to support ongoing quality improvement efforts; this data may be retained in an anonymized form after a period of time
  • Abuse-related records: Records related to confirmed abuse of the ticket system may be retained for a longer period for the purpose of preventing future abuse
Your right to deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by opening a support ticket and explicitly stating your deletion request. All requests are reviewed and processed by xUnknowns on a case-by-case basis. We will endeavor to fulfill deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any overriding legitimate interest or legal obligation.
§ 08

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We take your privacy seriously and maintain a strict policy against sharing your personal data with external parties. Specifically:

  • No third-party sales or sharing: Your data is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with any third-party businesses, advertisers, data brokers, or other external commercial entities under any circumstances.
  • Internal access only: Your ticket data is accessible solely to the Crafters Development staff team members who are directly involved in handling your support ticket. Staff members are expected to handle your data with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Rating visibility: Your rating score and written comment are forwarded to an internal staff review channel within the Crafters Development Discord server. This channel is restricted to authorized staff members only and is not publicly visible.
  • No platform integrations: We do not integrate with any third-party analytics platforms, CRM systems, or data warehousing services that would result in your data being transmitted to external systems.

The only circumstance under which we may disclose your data to a third party is if we are compelled to do so by a valid legal order, court judgment, or applicable law. In such cases, we will disclose only the minimum amount of data necessary to comply with the legal obligation, and we will notify you of such disclosure to the extent permitted by law.

Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security practices include:

  • Access control: Database access is limited to authorized personnel only and protected by authentication mechanisms
  • Server hardening: The server hosting the Bot and its database is configured with security best practices to reduce the attack surface
  • Minimal data collection: We follow a principle of data minimization — we only collect what is strictly necessary for the Bot's operation, which reduces the risk and impact of any potential data exposure
  • Periodic reviews: We periodically review our security practices and update them as needed to address emerging threats
Security limitation notice: Despite our best efforts, no system connected to the internet can guarantee absolute security. We cannot warrant that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. In the event of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact and notify affected users where appropriate.

Your Rights

As a user of the Crafters Development Ticket Bot, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data. We are committed to honoring these rights in a timely and transparent manner:

To exercise any of these rights, please open a support ticket in the Crafters Development Discord server and clearly state the right you wish to exercise and the specific data it concerns. All requests will be acknowledged and processed by xUnknowns within a reasonable timeframe.

Please note that some rights are subject to limitations under applicable law or where overriding legitimate interests apply. We will always explain our reasoning if we are unable to fulfill a specific request.

Children's Privacy

The Crafters Development Ticket Bot is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 years, in accordance with Discord's minimum age requirement and general data protection standards applicable to minors.

We do not knowingly collect, process, or store personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 has submitted a support ticket and their data has been collected, we will take immediate steps to delete that data from our records.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has interacted with the Bot and provided personal information, please contact us immediately so that we can take appropriate action to remove the data.

By using the Ticket Bot, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to use the Bot and to the processing of your data as described in this Policy.
§ 12

Third-Party Services

The Crafters Development Ticket Bot operates within the Discord platform. As such, certain aspects of your data are inherently governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which are separate from and independent of this document.

Specifically:

  • Your Discord username, user ID, and other profile information are managed by Discord, Inc. and are subject to Discord's data practices
  • Messages sent within Discord channels — including ticket channels — are stored on Discord's infrastructure in addition to any data we separately store in our local database
  • Discord's own data retention, security, and privacy policies govern the messages and interactions that occur on their platform

We encourage you to review Discord's Privacy Policy at discord.com/privacy to understand how Discord handles your data independently of our Bot.

Beyond Discord, the Crafters Development Ticket Bot does not integrate with, connect to, or transmit your data to any other third-party platforms, APIs, or services. All data processing beyond what Discord natively handles occurs exclusively within our private infrastructure.

§ 13

International Data Transfers

Crafters Development operates primarily under Chilean law. However, because the Bot operates on Discord's infrastructure — a United States-based company with global server infrastructure — your data may technically pass through or be stored on servers located in various jurisdictions as part of Discord's normal operation.

The personal data that we directly store in our local database is hosted within our controlled server environment. We do not independently transfer your data to servers located in other countries for processing purposes.

If you are accessing the Ticket Bot from a jurisdiction outside of Chile, please be aware that the data protection standards in your jurisdiction may differ from those in Chile. By using the Bot, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this Policy under Chilean standards.

We are committed to handling all data in a manner consistent with internationally recognized data protection principles, regardless of geographic location.
§ 14

Cookies & Tracking

The Crafters Development Ticket Bot is a Discord bot and does not operate as a web application. As such, it does not use cookies, web trackers, pixel tags, fingerprinting scripts, or any other browser-based tracking technologies.

No analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar are integrated into the Bot or our support system. We do not track your behavior across websites or external platforms.

Any data collection that occurs is limited to the explicit, transparent data points listed in Section 03 of this Policy, and is triggered solely by your direct interaction with the Ticket Bot on Discord.

This section applies to the Bot itself. If you visit our external documentation site at craftersdevelopment.pages.dev, that site may have its own tracking or cookie policies governed by the hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Please review their policies separately.
§ 15

Changes to This Policy

Crafters Development reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data practices, the operation of the Bot, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

For significant changes — particularly those that affect how we collect, use, or share your data — we will make a reasonable effort to notify users through an announcement in the Crafters Development Discord server.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any updates. Your continued use of the Ticket Bot after changes have been published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

If a change to this Policy requires your active consent (for example, a new category of data collection), we will seek that consent before the new practice takes effect.

For all privacy-related inquiries, data access requests, correction requests, or deletion requests, please use one of the following channels:

  • Support Ticket: Open a ticket in the Crafters Development Discord server using the Ticket Bot. In the ticket modal, clearly state that your inquiry is privacy-related and describe the specific request you wish to make.
  • Direct Discord contact: You may contact xUnknowns directly on Discord for urgent or sensitive privacy concerns that you prefer not to submit through the Bot.
  • Documentation site: Visit craftersdevelopment.pages.dev for additional documentation about our products and policies.

We are committed to responding to all privacy-related inquiries in a timely, professional, and transparent manner. If you submit a data deletion or access request, we will acknowledge your request and provide an estimated timeline for processing.

Crafters Development is an independent development brand based in Chile, protected under Chilean Intellectual Property Law No. 17.336. We take our responsibilities as a data controller seriously and are committed to earning and maintaining your trust.
